Change or Set IP address in Windows 7 and XP

How can i set IP address in Windows 7 or XP?

Windows 7

Go to Start > control panel.

In the control panel click on view network status and task under the network and internet option.

Now in the Network and sharing center left side click on change adapter setting.

You can see the network adapter then right click on adapter and select properties.

In the General tab click on Internet protocol version4(TCP/IPv4) then click on properties.

  

You can change or set IP address in this wizard click ok and close to take efect.

Windows XP

In Windows xp Go to Start > control panel > Network and Internet Connections > Network connection.

Now you Can see Network Adapter.

Go to top in windows7 and see how to set or change IP address.
