Some times DVD drive not detect in your windows7 but its show in bios and driver is proper.

Here is solution for this issue

Go to Start > Run and type regedit then navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CEBFC1-08002BE10318}

Now in the right windows delete upper and lower filters

Ignore entry upperfilters.bak and lowerfilters.bak

If you are not done with this process reset drive letter for complete process,

Go to start and type Disk Management the select Create and format hard disk Partitions
In this wizard your optical drive is visible then right click and select change drive letter and paths

Then select Change and choose a new letter

Now if you done to see your drive in Explorer, then repeat the process to change drive letter back,
